Senior Manager (Fleet Operations & Administration)

About the role

The Senior Manager of Fleet Operations & Administration leads the planning, execution and optimisation of the fleet function. This role defines short‑ and long‑term objectives, oversees personnel performance and ensures financial discipline across the division.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align immediate, short‑ and long‑term objectives and plans for fleet functionality.
• Direct and control outcomes related to utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel.
• Prepare capital and operating estimates and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
• Oversee requirements and interventions needed to maintain optimum operational functionality.
• Control procedural administrative and reporting deadlines for the branch.
• Disseminate functional and professional information on objectives, developments, problems and constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Fleet Operations or equivalent.
• Valid motor‑vehicle driving licence.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in fleet operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Physically fit and able‑bodied to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office.
