Senior Lecturer – Toolmaking & Manufacturing (Pinetown, KZN)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Lecturer to develop technical skills for the tooling manufacturing industry in Pinetown. The role involves delivering theory and practical training to adult students, facilitating workshop activities and building relationships with industry stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver trade theory and practical training to adult learners in tool, die and mould making.
• Mentor and moderate on‑the‑job training in collaboration with host industry companies.
• Prepare and maintain training records, assessment reports and progress documentation.
• Ensure machine and equipment readiness and uphold health and safety standards in the workshop.
• Plan and organise classroom and workshop sessions, develop lesson plans and adapt learning materials.
• Conduct competence evaluations and administer written, oral or performance tests.

Required profile

• Toolmaker Qualification (red seal) and Engineering Technical Qualification – N4.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience, including work on conventional and advanced machines.
• Current valid Code B / EB driver’s licence.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage.
