Senior Lecturer / Lecturer – Pharmaceutical Chemistry

About the role

The Faculty of Pharmacy is seeking qualified academics to join the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry as either a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer. The role involves teaching, research engagement, community interaction, and contributing to departmental and university governance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate teaching in areas such as Polymer Chemistry, Process Engineering, Quality Management and related subjects.
• Participate in research activities and knowledge creation, without mandatory supervision duties.
• Engage with the community and professional bodies to enhance the Faculty’s impact.
• Assume administrative, management or leadership responsibilities at departmental or Faculty level.

Required profile

• Lecturer: BSc (or BSc Hon/Eng) plus MSc in Process Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Senior Lecturer: PhD in Process Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field (or BSc Hon/BSc Eng + MSc with progress toward PhD).
• Current registration with the Engineering Council or eligibility within 12 months (advantageous).
• Demonstrated tutoring or facilitation experience in industry or tertiary education.
• Experience customizing and using a Learning Management System to enhance student engagement.
• Track record of administrative or leadership roles (formal or informal).
