Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor / Professor – Business Management

About the role

The University of Pretoria invites applications for senior academic positions within the Albert Luthuli Leadership Institute, Department of Business Management. Candidates will join a leading research university and contribute to teaching, research, and community engagement at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures and seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Supervise Master’s and PhD students, including research project guidance.
• Lead curriculum design, especially in management and leadership modules.
• Conduct original trans‑disciplinary and multi‑disciplinary research leading to peer‑reviewed publications.
• Engage with external stakeholders, industry partners, and community programmes.
• Participate in fundraising and strategic initiatives of the Institute.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Management Sciences and/or Leadership.
• For Senior Lecturer: minimum 3 years of tertiary teaching or relevant industry experience.
• For Associate Professor/Professor: at least 6 years of teaching experience, a strong publication record (minimum 7 accredited outputs, quality‑adjusted score ≥10), and proven supervision of Master’s and doctoral candidates.
• Evidence of academic citizenship and community engagement.
