Senior L3 IT Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior L3 IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide advanced technical support and drive strategic infrastructure projects for a high‑profile client in London. You will act as the ultimate escalation point, ensuring stability and optimisation of complex IT environments in a fast‑paced, business‑critical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead root‑cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents across Windows, Linux, VMware, Citrix, M365, Azure AD and SQL environments.
• Design, implement and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and virtualization platforms.
• Manage backup, disaster‑recovery and high‑availability solutions using Veeam, SANs and HP servers.
• Oversee network architecture, including DNS/DHCP, routing, switching, Meraki, Palo Alto, Cisco and VPN technologies.
• Drive security initiatives with Darktrace, Zscaler and CrowdStrike.
• Automate tasks and support DevOps pipelines using PowerShell, Python, GitHub, GitLab and Azure DevOps.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior L3 engineer handling complex infrastructure environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to lead incident investigations and implement long‑term solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to mentor L1/L2 engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
