Senior Hydrometallurgy Engineer

About the role

SGS is seeking a Senior Hydrometallurgy Engineer to lead process engineering activities across the full project lifecycle. You will provide technical input to business development, design, and execution phases, ensuring cost‑effective and compliant solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support business development by preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and conceptual designs.
• Define process scope, generate mass and energy balances, and produce conceptual PFDs.
• Develop detailed engineering deliverables including equipment lists, specifications, data sheets, and operating manuals.
• Coordinate project implementation, manage schedules, budgets, and scope variations.
• Lead client interactions, vendor enquiries, and technical adjudications.
• Review and approve design calculations, layouts, and final documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in hydrometallurgy and process engineering.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder coordination.
