Senior Foreman (Wet Trades) – Western Cape

The Senior Foreman (Wet Trades) will lead residential construction teams in the Western Cape, ensuring high‑quality brickwork, plaster and screed finishes while maintaining strict safety and site standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set out using dumpy level, pipe level or laser level and transfer levels between benchmarks, walls and floors.
• Install brick gauge rods, string lines and cavity batons in line with SANS 10400‑K guidelines.
• Create two‑week look‑ahead programmes, allocate daily tasks and track output.
• Measure level, square and plumbness of brickwork, plaster and screed using straight edge, spirit level and square.
• Conduct progressive quality checks with approved checklists and report sub‑contractor progress.
• Order and call‑off construction materials according to the programme.
• Maintain a clean work area, enforce PPE use and implement safety measures at all times.
• Escalate issues to senior management and report defects or risks on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years proven experience as a Wet Trade Foreman.
• Experience in residential construction and wet‑trade finishing.
• Strong leadership, site supervision and team‑management abilities.
• Ability to read construction drawings and enforce site safety.
• Residence in the Western Cape.
