Senior Financial Officer – Business Analytics (Wealth)

About the role

To produce, assess, and report dependable and significant financial and non‑financial data to support the business's needs and decision‑making processes, aligned with Nedbank's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the Wealth Management Information System (MIS) month‑end process.
• Ensure precise and prompt delivery of MIS month‑end outcomes and related reporting.
• Compile inputs for the monthly Operational Committee pack for Business and Exco reviews.
• Offer formal commentary and interpretation of financial data to stakeholders.
• Generate ad‑hoc reports by collecting data from multiple sources and analysing them.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations between financial results and MIS outcomes, resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to produce accurate MIS results for management decisions.
• Educate and enhance the financial management skills of new and existing stakeholders.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within financial services.
• Professional certifications such as CIMA, CA(SA) or CFA are highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of banking procedures, governance, risk and controls.
• Strong business writing and communication abilities.
