Senior Financial Manager – Wholesale/Retail Experience Essential

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Manager to lead the finance function for a fast‑growing retail operation. The role is based in Johannesburg and will support multiple store locations, including Rustenburg.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, compliance and internal controls.
• Maintain financial integrity and provide analysis to support operational decision‑making.
• Drive profitability through effective financial control, debtor and cash management.
• Manage risk, people, systems, procedures and coordinate regular stock takes.

Required profile

• Qualified Financial Manager with a relevant degree or diploma.
• Minimum 4 years experience in financial management within retail operations (e.g., Spar, Dischem).
• Proven track record of successful employment as a Financial Manager.
• Valid driver’s licence, own car and availability to work Saturdays.
• Willingness to work in Rustenburg as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP and Pastel.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
