Senior Financial Manager – Wholesale Retail Experience Required

About the role

We are seeking a senior financial manager to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing wholesale retail operation. The role is based in Johannesburg and will support business decisions across multiple store locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and compliance for the retail business.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Manage cash flow, debtor collections and risk mitigation activities.
• Lead stock‑take processes and supervise cash management procedures.
• Develop and implement finance systems, policies and procedures.
• Supervise a finance team, including people management and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of financial management experience within wholesale or retail operations (e.g., Spar, Dischem).
• Proven track record as a financial manager with demonstrated results.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and availability to work Saturdays.
• Willingness to travel to Rustenburg as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP and Pastel.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
