Senior Financial Manager – Financial Services/Insurance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to lead the finance function within our financial services and insurance operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will drive financial reporting, risk management and strategic support.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full financial function, including reporting and control.
• Provide insights, manage financial risk and support business strategic objectives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and identify financial trends, risks and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Manage liquidity planning and optimisation of working capital.
• Coordinate tax and statutory compliance, audit and risk committee reporting.
• Oversee insurance and risk management, governance and performance management.

Required profile

• B Comm Accounting degree; CA(SA) and CIMA registration preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Financial Manager managing accountants in the financial services/insurance sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
• Experience with Sage, IDU and QuickConsol financial systems.

What we offer

• Salary: R800,000 per annum (cost to company).
