Senior Engineering Professional

About the role

Hire Resolve is recruiting experienced mid-senior to senior-level engineering professionals for established organisations across South Africa. The role covers several engineering disciplines and suits people with backgrounds in mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, industrial, process, manufacturing or project engineering, in sectors such as mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, construction and heavy industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to engineering projects from concept, design and development through to execution and handover
• Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex technical and operational challenges
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, contractors and consultants
• Ensure compliance with South African legislation, industry standards and health and safety requirements
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors and regulatory authorities as required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BEng or BSc Eng) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial or a related discipline
• 7-15+ years of relevant engineering experience, depending on role scope and discipline
• Proven experience on complex engineering projects in mining, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial environments
• Strong technical expertise in your discipline and familiarity with South African standards, codes and statutory requirements
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA or eligibility to register is preferred
