Process Leader - FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

Clover is looking for a Process Leader in Bloemfontein to oversee manufacturing, processing and/or packaging operations. The role ensures product quality, operational efficiency and compliance with company standards, while managing, coaching and developing employees to meet departmental objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quality assurance procedures to the manufacturing and/or packaging process to ensure product integrity and compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor and control inputs and outputs throughout the process.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles.
• Carry out first-line maintenance and routine inspections of equipment, and ensure its correct and safe use.
• Make sure manufacturing and processing follow approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) procedures are correctly implemented and completed.
• Manage, coach and develop employees to achieve departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification; a relevant technical or manufacturing qualification (e.g. Food Technology, Food Science, Production/Operations Management, Food and Beverage) is advantageous.
• Technical training or certification in FMCG manufacturing, processing, packaging, GMP or food safety is advantageous.
• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in the FMCG industry, preferably in manufacturing, processing or packaging.
• Previous team leader or supervisory experience is essential.
• Fluent business English and intermediate computer literacy.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
