Senior DevOps & Automation Engineer

About the role

The Senior DevOps & Automation Engineer will develop and enhance the engineering ecosystem that supports the full product lifecycle, driving engineering excellence through automation, modern development practices and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Drive optimisation and standardisation of requirements management processes across engineering programmes.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps technologies.
• Configure, integrate and maintain development tools such as Jira, Bitbucket and Artifactory.
• Develop automation scripts to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support cloud‑based infrastructure deployments and containerised environments.

Required profile

• Natural problem‑solver with strong analytical ability.
• Passionate about automation and engineering optimisation.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communicator able to engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline development.
• Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory, IBM DOORS.
• SQL / MySQL, Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Podman.
• Infrastructure as Code and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with safety‑critical standards such as DO‑178, DO‑254, ARP4754A, EN9100.
