Senior Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join TIH, a leading provider of financial services in South Africa. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining complex software applications to improve operational efficiency for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new and enhance existing application software based on customer requirements.
• Analyse business processes, identify shortcomings and implement improvements.
• Monitor, diagnose and resolve complex software defects and performance issues.
• Participate in security design, including data leak prevention and encryption.
• Contribute to the application roadmap and ensure alignment with business priorities.
• Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to team members.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory codes.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service, handling complex queries and case processing.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or SAQA‑equivalent qualification.
• Recognised software development certification or degree.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional accreditation.
• Ability to stay updated on technology trends, regulations and industry best practices.
