Senior Conveyancing Bonds Secretary

About the role

An established legal practice in Lynnwood, Pretoria East is looking for a Senior Conveyancing Bonds Secretary to independently manage mortgage bond registrations and cancellations from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Handle mortgage bond registrations and cancellations from inception to finalisation.
• Manage conveyancing instructions independently.
• Liaise with banks, clients, the Deeds Office and other law firms.
• Ensure compliance with bank procedures, documentation and requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and follow up to keep matters progressing.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Solid experience in mortgage bond registrations and cancellations.
• Thorough knowledge of bank procedures and requirements, including Stordoc.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
• Stable employment history with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage instructions from start to finish.
• Strong telephone etiquette, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Stordoc.
• Working knowledge of Ghost Convey.
• Working knowledge of e4.
• Working knowledge of Lexpro.
