Senior Accountant – Client Portfolio & Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a driven Senior Accountant to join our Roodepoort office and manage a portfolio of clients. The role combines technical accounting work with leadership of a small team, offering autonomy and a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and other compliance documents.
• Oversee and mentor a small team of accountants.
• Stay up‑to‑date with accounting and tax regulations.
• Contribute to the firm’s growth and development.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience or completed articles.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to high‑quality client service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software packages.
• Tax preparation expertise.
• Financial statement preparation.
