About the role
We are looking for a Saw Operator to work in our BUCO unit in Nelspruit. The role involves accurately cutting timber and boards to meet customer specifications, providing prompt service and assisting with loading.
Key responsibilities
- Feed material into the saw machine and adjust settings as needed.
- Regulate belt speed and temperature to ensure optimal cutting performance.
- Perform edge trimming and sanding of cut timber.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including housekeeping and security duties.
- Assist customers, load vehicles, and ensure timber is neatly packed and accessible.
Required profile
- Grade 12 education.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar industry.
Required skills
- Machine maintenance.
- Saw operation and material feeding.
- Adjustment of machine settings, speed and temperature control.
- Edge trimming and sanding.
