About the role
Prestige Clothing is seeking a Sample Machinist to assemble and finish garment samples using patterns and sample bags. The role involves operating sewing equipment and improving production efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble a garment from start to finish using pattern or Sample Bag information.
- Operate all machines required to produce a sample garment.
- Identify and implement production‑friendly assembly methods.
Required profile
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems with relevant stakeholders.
Required skills
- Operate a variety of sewing machines.
- Read and write technical instructions.
- Interpret patterns, sketches and sample bag information.
- Sew all types of sample garments (pants, tops, skirts, dresses, jackets) in woven and knit fabrics.
- Understanding of garment construction and quality standards.
