Salaried Financial Advisor (Recruitment Pool)

About the role

Old Mutual is recruiting salaried financial advisors in Lusikisiki through a recruitment pool. There is no closing date: applicants can submit at any time and will be reviewed and referred to available vacancies. The advisor provides advice on a specific range of products to a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: provide quality service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems.
• Solutions analysis: analyse problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• CRM data: schedule follow-ups and record details after each contact to build a call plan and keep quality data for retention and business development.
• Clarify customer needs: set objectives for calls and meetings, tailor presentations and gather information on customer interest.
• Relationship development and prospecting: build plans to connect with decision-makers and influencers in customer organisations.
• Operational compliance: know policies, procedures and regulatory codes, and get supervisor authorisation for exceptions.
• Business development: monitor sales and market data for a region, attend business-sector events and obtain market intelligence.
• Data exploration: research and analyse trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
• Network of influence: contribute to networks of people, technologies and ideas inside and outside the company.

Required profile

• NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent.
• Appointments are made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the business unit.
