About the role
We are seeking a Roofing Assessor to join our team in Brackenfell. The role involves inspecting roofs, identifying issues, and ensuring compliance with standards.
Key responsibilities
- Physical evaluation of the roof – accesses roofs safely to inspect outer surface materials.
- Identifies water damage, active leaks, rot and rust.
- Examines gutters, downpipes, vents and chimneys.
- Verifies that installations meet building codes, safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
- Captures digital photos and makes notes for insurance reports.
Required profile
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Afrikaans.
- Computer literate with very strong Excel and Word skills to write professional reports.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Fit and strong – able to climb ladders and not afraid of heights.
- Health and Safety experience advantageous.
