Riser Operations Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to lead our Riser Group across South Africa and Angola. You will manage a mixed team of permanent and temporary staff, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 6‑7 permanent and 10+ temporary personnel.
• Supervise day‑to‑day workshop and field operations on multiple projects.
• Ensure accurate project scoping, quoting, and allocation of labour, materials and equipment.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor projects to meet safety, timeline, budget and quality targets.
• Track project costs, productivity and resource utilisation to maximise efficiency and profitability.
• Provide weekly operational and performance reports to the Operations Manager.
• Assist with monthly revenue forecasting, financial reporting and annual budget planning.
• Maintain strong client relationships by delivering technical and commercial updates.
• Coordinate workforce planning, scheduling and mobilisation for local and international projects.
• Ensure compliance with NOV policies, quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Technical qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore, industrial or heavy‑engineering environments.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Strong project planning, budgeting and customer communication skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office and project coordination tools.
