About the role
Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking an experienced Retail Branch Manager to lead its Richards Bay branch. You will be responsible for growing the customer base, driving revenue, and ensuring an excellent client experience through effective branch strategy and team leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the retail branch strategy to achieve sales and service targets.
- Guide, integrate, and standardise activities of Sales Consultants in line with the overall strategy.
- Maintain day‑to‑day operations of the branch, ensuring compliance, quality, and risk management.
- Lead a service‑delivery culture that enhances the client experience both inside and outside the branch.
- Oversee monthly planning, reporting, and performance monitoring of sales and service activities.
- Manage people practices for direct reports, including talent management, performance reviews, development, grievance handling, and capacity planning.
- Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
- At least 5 years of recent industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
- Current Class of Business accreditation and compliance with continuous professional development cycles.
