About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant (EA or CPA) to work remotely on a contract basis, preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Ensure all filings comply with current tax laws and regulations.
Research complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Minimum of 3 years experience preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax.
Proficiency with tax preparation software such as Drake.

What we offer

Contract position with an hourly rate of $20‑$30.
Fully remote work with flexible scheduling.
