Remote Risk Analyst

About the role

Pavago is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a meticulous Risk Analyst for a fully remote position. The role covers the full lifecycle of risk management, from identification through monitoring and mitigation, across financial stability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and cybersecurity. It suits someone who can work independently remotely while keeping documentation and procedural rigour.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out enterprise-wide risk assessments covering operational, market, financial and compliance exposures
• Build and run quantitative risk models to forecast and monitor threats
• Use SQL, Python, R and advanced Excel to analyse data
• Maintain remediation trackers, risk registers and control matrices
• Support adherence to Basel III, GDPR and SOX
• Evaluate internal control frameworks and report to governance committees

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in risk management, audit, governance or compliance
• Strong written and spoken English
• Proactive, detail-oriented, able to handle several risk domains at once
• Certifications such as CFA, FRM, CPA or CCEP are a bonus
