Registered Medical Doctor – Telehealth Panel (Remote)

About the role

Zapmed is a South African telehealth platform that connects patients with qualified doctors for weight management, men’s and women’s health, skin and sexual health issues. We are seeking a registered medical doctor to join our remote panel and provide virtual consultations on a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct video or chat consultations with patients, assess medical needs and provide appropriate advice.
• Write and issue electronic prescriptions that are delivered to patients’ doors.
• Maintain accurate digital records in compliance with HPCSA regulations.
• Respond to patient requests within the agreed‑upon response window.
• Collaborate with the Zapmed team to continuously improve telehealth service quality.

Required profile

• HPCSA‑registered and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
• Interest or background in aesthetics or endocrinology (preferred but not mandatory).
• Existing medical practice is acceptable; the role is additional and flexible.
• Comfortable delivering care digitally and committed to high‑quality telehealth.

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and digital patient communication tools.
• Electronic prescription writing.
• Clinical assessment and decision‑making in a virtual environment.
