Recruitment Consultant – La Lucia

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Recruitment Consultant to join our team in La Lucia, Durban. The role involves managing end‑to‑end recruitment processes for permanent, temporary and contract positions across various client sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business and maintain relationships with existing clients through regular visits and communication.
• Research market opportunities, monitor competitor activity and promote the company’s recruitment value.
• Create and manage job specifications, advertise vacancies, and handle client queries.
• Screen applications, conduct interviews, shortlist candidates and match them to client needs.
• Administer recruitment documentation, prepare executive summaries and close deals for permanent, temporary and contract roles.
• Conduct exit interviews for temporary staff and ensure effective follow‑up.
• Achieve set targets for permanent, temporary and contract recruitment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recruitment, preferably handling permanent, temporary and contract placements.
• Strong business development skills with a track record of generating new client opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Own reliable transport for client visits.
