Recruitment Consultant – Energy & Technical Sectors

About the role

Global Edge Group is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join its Cape Town office and support Africa‑wide recruitment operations. The role focuses on full‑cycle hiring for contract, contract‑to‑hire and direct‑hire positions within the energy, engineering, mining, infrastructure, IT and renewables sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes for a variety of roles.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding hiring needs and priorities.
• Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking and internal databases.
• Screen, interview and evaluate candidates for technical capability, cultural fit and career alignment.
• Prepare and submit qualified candidate profiles to clients promptly.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain clear communication with candidates and clients throughout the hiring journey.
• Negotiate pay rates, fees and compensation packages in line with guidelines.
• Build and sustain a talent pipeline for current and future opportunities across Africa.
• Maintain accurate records in the ATS/CRM system and meet recruitment metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle (360) recruitment.
• Technical recruitment background in energy, engineering, mining, infrastructure, IT or renewables is advantageous.
• Strong business development, client management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
