Reconciliation Accountant (French Speaking)

About the role

Vivo Energy is hiring a French-speaking Reconciliation Accountant in Cape Town for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role ensures that bank reconciliations are followed up and resolved on time so that financial records remain accurate and support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations monthly, following up on and resolving reconciling items so that accounting records stay accurate.
• Carry out month-end and year-end activities, making sure deadlines are met for a smooth period close and audit process.
• Process accounting journal entries on time and accurately, and capture, reconcile and clear daily bank accounting activities.
• Monitor daily collections, ensure they are actioned and follow up with stakeholders.
• Log and resolve queries within the agreed service level agreement.

Required profile

• NQF level 6 diploma in accounting.
• 5 years of experience performing accounting reconciliations.
• Advantageous: NQF level 7 degree in accounting.
• Advantageous: previous experience with bank, customer, vendor or general ledger reconciliations.
