Quantity Surveyor – Glass & Aluminium Construction (Durban)

About the role
The Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial and financial aspects of glass and aluminium construction projects in Durban. This includes overseeing tendering, cost control, valuations and variations to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and evaluate tenders, quantity take‑offs and Bills of Quantities for glass and aluminium façade works.
- Control project costs, conduct valuations, manage variations, progress claims and final accounts.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to support accurate costing.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably in glass/aluminium or façade construction.
- Professional registration is advantageous.
Required skills
- Strong Excel and numerical abilities.
- Experience with quantity take‑offs, BOQs, estimating and project costing.
- Good knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
