Quality Inspector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our well‑established team in Rustenburg. The role focuses on ensuring that all fabricated steel components meet the highest quality standards throughout the production process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of fabricated steel components.
• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Inspect and release materials for welding, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Perform in‑process and final inspections throughout the fabrication process.
• Complete and sign off inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Identify non‑conformances and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform final quality checks before products are dispatched and liaise with production teams, supervisors, and client representatives as required.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in steel fabrication, structural steel, or construction.
• Proven ability to complete and sign off quality inspection reports.
• Strong capability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Solid understanding of fabrication processes, welding preparation, and quality inspection.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections using measuring equipment.
• High attention to detail with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
