QA/QC Assistant

About the role

The QA/QC Assistant will coordinate and oversee quality assurance and quality control activities within a corporate vehicle service station environment. You will ensure that all maintenance and repair work on petrol and diesel vehicles complies with company, customer, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on vehicles during maintenance and repair processes.
• Review and approve work performed by artisans and external service providers.
• Perform hold‑point inspections in workshops and on customer vehicles.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation such as inspection checklists, reports, and service logs.
• Monitor service provider performance and verify correct tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment are used.
• Interface with operations, suppliers, and customers regarding QA/QC standards.
• Validate scopes of work against cost, sign off on final JCC, and confirm scope in SAP.
• Lead monthly IMS inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 with Mathematics.
• Trade test qualification as a Petrol/Diesel Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an artisan performing QA/QC activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP and Dealer Management Systems.
