Purchasing Coordinator – Remote (EST Hours) for US Healthcare

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support US‑based long‑term care and skilled nursing facilities. Working remotely from South Africa, you will process purchase requests, manage non‑catalogue tickets and oversee equipment rentals while ensuring compliance with budgets and client policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase orders from healthcare facilities, verify budget compliance, availability and alignment with purchasing trends before processing.
• Handle tickets for non‑catalogue items: source products, obtain ownership approval and complete purchases.
• Monitor equipment rentals, track usage, maintain minimum inventory levels and coordinate timely returns.
• Process electronic invoices, match them to purchase orders, sync with accounting software and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Knowledge of purchasing or procurement processes, preferably within healthcare settings such as LTC or SNF.
• Experience navigating procurement systems and strong proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
