Property Manager I – Banking Property Portfolio

About the role

Capitec is seeking an energetic Property Manager I to provide operational support in managing, negotiating and coordinating cash-device locations across a defined geographical property portfolio. The role ensures that ATM and cash-device sites meet business and client needs, optimizing access to cash solutions for personal and business banking customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and negotiate lease agreements for cash-device locations, including offers, renewals, expiries and escalations.
• Coordinate site relocations, consolidations and roll-outs in collaboration with Property, Legal, Projects, Finance and Operations teams.
• Maintain accurate records, audit trails and data in workflow or document-management systems.
• Conduct feasibility analysis considering foot traffic, visibility, security and complementary businesses.
• Prepare reports, collate data and support internal governance and approval processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Properties & Development or a related field (Honours or Masters preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in retail property, property leasing administration or ATM/cash-device portfolio coordination.
• Knowledge of South African retail property landscape and property leasing principles.
• Understanding of internal governance, security considerations and site-feasibility factors.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and commercial thinking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience drafting contracts and managing project documentation.
