Property Management Assistant

About the role

JGB Properties in Gauteng is looking for a Property Management Assistant. The role provides day-to-day property management, facilities management, technical and operational support to the Property Manager across the portfolio, including dealerships, centres and guest houses. It also offers on-site support, helps with tenant and municipal matters, and monitors facilities and utilities so that property matters are handled efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with day-to-day property management and operational requirements.
• Monitor and help with utility queries, recoveries and follow-ups.
• Attend municipal and local authority offices when required.
• Help with tenant queries, inspections, access arrangements and operational matters.
• Support contractors, service providers, quotations and follow-ups.
• Maintain basic property admin, filing, facilities, utility and inspection records.
• Cover for the Property Manager when they are absent or out of office, and help with emergency property matters.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12).
• 1-2 years' experience in commercial, retail or property administration.
• Respectful, reliable and approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation, positive professional attitude and personal integrity.

Required skills

• Administrative and coordination skills.
• Computer literacy, including internet research, MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
