Project Portfolio Coordinator

About the role

United Exports is looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Portfolio Coordinator to join its IT team in Paarl. The role keeps the project portfolio visible, well governed and accurately maintained across South African and international operations, working with Project Managers, business leaders and regional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a single, accurate view of all active projects and consolidate their status into portfolio reports for leadership
• Track risks, actions, decisions and dependencies; support benefits tracking and prepare dashboards and governance packs
• Coordinate operating and steering committee meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up on action items
• Maintain governance templates, support document control and version management, and promote governance standards
• Keep project information in Jira, monitor portfolio hygiene and categorisation, and deliver Jira training and support
• Identify reporting gaps and opportunities to streamline and automate portfolio administration

Required profile

• 3+ years in a Project Coordination, PMO, Portfolio Administration or Project Support role
• Proven experience coordinating and tracking multiple concurrent projects or workstreams
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to compile accurate reports
• Advantageous: experience with governance forums, Jira training, and international or cross-functional stakeholder environments
