About the role

Henry Fagan Consulting Engineers & Project Managers is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead built‑environment projects in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage resources allocated to B‑Degree/B Tech built‑environment projects.
• Oversee safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance.
• Apply NEC principles and contract conditions, handling dispute resolution and escalation.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and cost structures.
• Confirm milestones, manage design freeze, establish baselines, and monitor performance.
• Maintain effective communication with management, clients, and stakeholders.
• Manage contracts, commissioning, and integration of new assets.
• Coordinate interfaces across transmission, grid planning, engineering, construction, and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex engineering or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of cost, time, and quality control.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure SHEQ compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
