Project Management Intern – Johannesburg

About the role

The Project Management Intern will support technology‑enabled projects by coordinating activities, tracking data and preparing reports. This role offers hands‑on experience in project coordination while contributing to real project outcomes in Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Assist daily coordination of projects, maintaining plans, actions and timelines.
• Update project plans, trackers and dashboards using Excel and Monday.com.
• Collect, consolidate and interpret project and operational data for reporting.
• Prepare status updates, reports and meeting materials for teams and stakeholders.
• Record meeting actions, risks, issues and dependencies and follow up with owners.
• Log and track requests, issues or queries in Monday.com and Freshdesk.
• Organise meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes and action tracking.
• Support project managers and team leads with administration across multiple initiatives.
• Contribute ideas to improve project processes, templates and ways of working.

Required profile

• Currently studying or completing a qualification in Project Management or a related field.
• Strong interest in project management, technology, data and reporting.
• Exposure to coordination, administration, reporting or analytics environments is advantageous.
• Comfortable working with digital tools and spreadsheets.
