Programme Manager – Township Automotive Hubs

About the role

The Programme Manager will lead the planning, development and operation of Township Automotive Hubs, aligning with AIDC and provincial government strategies. Reporting to the Executive: Industry Development, the role oversees project delivery, stakeholder engagement and sustainability of the hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operational business plans and budgets for each hub, ensuring alignment with AIDC strategy and stakeholder requirements.
• Identify, secure and upgrade township sites for new hubs, create site‑specific business plans and operationalise the facilities.
• Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of SMME development programmes, including training, mentoring and performance management.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with government bodies, private partners and funding institutions, establishing SLAs and monitoring compliance.
• Oversee programme and project delivery, ensuring health & safety, quality management systems, risk registers and corrective actions are in place.
• Prepare and submit regular progress, financial and statutory reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
