Program Manager, Economic and Climate Prosperity

About the role

The Program Manager will lead the design, implementation and development of Economic and Climate Prosperity’s country‑level work in South Africa and Senegal, advancing green industrial policy, international finance and trade systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop country‑level work plans, map policy windows and politically feasible pathways for reform.
• Manage the grant‑making process, including proposal solicitation, record preparation, payments and reporting.
• Translate technical evidence into policy options, briefs and engagement strategies for partners.
• Represent ECP in policy forums and build trusted relationships with government, finance institutions, civil society and private‑sector actors.
• Monitor progress, risks and status updates, reporting regularly to the Associate Director of Programs.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Substantial experience in green industrial policy, international finance and trade systems.
• Strong understanding of South Africa’s political and policy environment and ability to navigate policy processes.
• Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with government officials and other stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in program/grant management and climate policy.
