Professional Nurse - Cath Lab

About the role

Mediclinic is seeking a Professional Nurse to work in its Cath Lab, providing safe and high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterisation procedures. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a positive experience throughout the care pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in partnership with physicians, technologists and other health professionals.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to maintain patient safety.
• Create a supportive environment that enhances patient experience.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all nursing interventions.
• Promote staff competence by fostering a learning environment.
• Ensure proper charging and documentation of all stock and equipment used.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
• Additional qualifications such as Midwifery or a postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty are desirable.
• No prior experience is required; however, one year of post-graduate experience in a specialised unit is preferred.
