About the role
We are looking for a motivated Professional Accountant (SA) to join our team in Port Alfred. The role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant or someone with limited post‑articles experience who is ready to take ownership of client work under the guidance of an experienced supervisor.
Key responsibilities
- Drafting annual financial statements for multiple clients
- Managing client assignments and meeting strict deadlines
- Preparing management accounts and performing reconciliations
- Reviewing accounting records and supervising junior staff work
- Submitting income tax, VAT, and PAYE returns using SARS eFiling
- Communicating professionally with clients and providing timely updates
Required profile
- Current Professional Accountant (SA) designation and SAIPA registration
- Relevant accounting qualification
- Strong ability to draft financial statements
- Knowledge of tax, VAT, PAYE and SARS eFiling processes
- Good planning, communication and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to receive guidance
