Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to lead a busy multi‑department manufacturing operation covering extrusion, weaving and workshop activities. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will balance output, quality, cost and delivery while keeping safety and compliance at the forefront.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across extrusion, weaving and workshop areas to meet production targets.
• Plan schedules and allocate resources based on demand and maintenance priorities.
• Monitor machine utilisation, material usage and labour efficiency to reduce waste.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and comply with ISO and company standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop team leaders and operators.
• Partner with the Workshop Team Leader on preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Enforce ISO/QMS and Health & Safety adherence and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering (degree advantageous).
• 5–10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Solid understanding of extrusion and weaving processes, preferably with TPU or similar materials.
• Experience in TPU layflat, textile or plastics extrusion is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams and priorities under pressure.
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach.
