Production Foreman - Material Preparation & CNC Manufacturing

About the role

The client, a leading player in the mining and beneficiation sector, is seeking a Production Foreman to oversee material preparation and CNC manufacturing operations in Klerksdorp. You will coordinate production planning, supervise CNC equipment, and drive continuous improvement across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and prioritize departmental work to meet production and project deadlines using the ERP/MRP system.
• Lead safe and efficient operation of CNC machining centres, horizontal boring mills, press brakes, laser and plasma cutting machines, and conventional fitting & turning equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, review job packs, and use 2D/3D nesting software to maximise material utilisation.
• Manage production work orders, track labour and machine utilisation, and ensure accurate manufacturing records.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement productivity improvements, and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members, handling attendance, performance and training needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising CNC manufacturing or similar production environments.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP production planning tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Leadership skills to manage a diverse team of artisans and operators.
