Product & Manufacturing Engineering Executive

About the role

The organisation is looking for a senior engineering leader to drive product and manufacturing excellence in a high‑performance production environment. You will shape engineering strategy, improve efficiency, and ensure world‑class standards across product development, manufacturing, maintenance and toolroom operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function, ensuring product master data accuracy and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Implement best practices for machining and assembly, and drive innovation to increase throughput and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing and supply‑chain teams to optimise production performance.
• Manage configuration management and ERP master data (BOMs, routings, etc.).
• Oversee maintenance and toolroom departments, driving preventative maintenance strategies.
• Develop and present CAPEX proposals to expand capacity and efficiency.
• Provide technical support to local and international customers and lead complex engineering investigations.

Required profile

• BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering (non‑negotiable).
• 10–15 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Proven experience in machining and/or assembly production environments.
• Strong project management background.
• SA citizenship and clear criminal record.
• GCC certification and experience in high‑volume production are highly advantageous.
