Product Manager – Payment Solutions

About the role

As the Product Manager for Payment Solutions, you will lead the end‑to‑end product portfolio for a key player in South Africa’s fintech ecosystem. You will shape strategy, allocate resources and work cross‑functionally to bring innovative payment infrastructure from concept to market.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for payment solutions.
• Oversee product development, launch and post‑launch performance across card‑present and card‑not‑present channels.
• Manage and develop the product team, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, sales and operations to drive timely delivery.
• Monitor financial metrics, optimise costs and improve return on equity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of product, strategy or innovation experience in fintech, payments or banking.
• Proven track record delivering market‑ready payment solutions.
• Strong understanding of acquiring transaction processing for both card‑present and card‑not‑present environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
