Product Designer

About the role

SafetyWing builds a global social safety net for remote workers, offering simple health, insurance and retirement products. As Product Designer you will drive the design and development of its products, going beyond visual design to give them depth and meaning while keeping the company's core values.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product design initiatives from conception to final execution
• Drive continuous improvement of design processes and propose ways to raise output quality
• Keep design outputs consistent by working closely with product managers, other designers and engineers
• Drive the evolution and adherence to SafetyWing's design system
• Present design ideas to cross-functional teams and senior leadership

Required profile

• Advanced product design experience shown in a portfolio of impactful design solutions
• Experience designing user experiences in insurance, finance or other compliance-regulated sectors
• Ability to design beyond the screen, considering dependencies, user flows and long-term product architecture
• Experience conducting usability testing
• Clear communication of design ideas to design and non-design stakeholders, and understanding of the broader business and product strategy

Required skills

• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
• Commitment to continuous learning of new tool features
