Procurement Specialist – Business Services

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will join the Business Services Procurement delivery model within PwC’s South Africa Technology & Innovation Centre. Working under the guidance of UK‑based managers, you will support sourcing, contracting, due‑diligence and Source‑to‑Pay activities for third‑party suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage intake requests for procurement and sourcing support.
• Negotiate, execute and administer third‑party supplier contracts.
• Support Source‑to‑Pay best practices, including purchase order adoption and supplier onboarding.
• Maintain contract records, conduct expiry reviews and ensure proper housekeeping.
• Perform third‑party due‑diligence and follow risk‑management procedures.
• Assist with sourcing events to deliver commercial value.
• Act as a trusted advisor and primary procurement contact for assigned commodity areas.
• Escalate issues requiring senior judgement and coordinate inputs from business stakeholders.
• Provide workflow updates and support reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounting or Finance; MCIPS qualified or partially qualified.
• 4‑7 years of proven procurement and sourcing experience, including contract review and negotiation.
• Experience with established procurement frameworks and managing multiple parallel activities.
• Strong stakeholder, negotiation and risk‑management capabilities.
• Familiarity with corporate, offshore or shared‑services delivery models is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Source‑to‑Pay platforms such as Coupa or SAP Ariba.
• Experience using workflow platforms for contract administration.
• Technology literacy with a working understanding of AI fundamentals.
