Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

The Procurement Manager leads the organisation’s acquisition lifecycle, developing and executing strategies that secure high‑quality goods and services at the best possible cost while mitigating supply‑chain risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
• Lead, mentor and develop the procurement team.
• Enhance BEE procurement score through inclusive sourcing practices.
• Develop accurate forecasting models for stock requirements and coordinate with warehouse teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and spend analysis.
• Strong risk‑management capabilities, including contingency planning for supply disruptions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a procurement team.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting to senior executives.
• Knowledge of BEE procurement and inclusive sourcing practices.
