Procurement Buyer – Maintenance, Repairs & Capital Projects

About the role

Hydropower Systems is expanding its Procurement Department and is looking for three experienced Procurement Buyers. The role supports manufacturing operations, maintenance, repairs and capital projects across all facilities, ensuring timely availability of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders against approved suppliers, pricing and stock/quote requirements.
• Expedite all open purchase orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries daily.
• Coordinate on‑site and off‑site repairs, obtain quotations and monitor lead times.
• Ensure materials are available to meet manufacturing and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documentation and invoicing liaison with the Debtors Department.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Experienced and detail‑oriented procurement professional.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and supplier communications simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Proactive in expediting orders and ensuring timely delivery.
